Exodus chapter 12, The Passover - July 27, 2014
Dave Bliley continues our series on Exodus.
Exodus 12:1-21 The passover ceremony.
God struck down the first born of everyone not protected by the blood of the lamb.
The passover represented a new beginning for the Israelites, the start of their calendar.
The New Testament equivalent of the passover is the cross. Jesus is our sacrificial lamb and the beginning of a new life for us.
One new beginning for us is the new relationships we have in the church and with our families.
If you are not a Christian the thing that will make you new is Christ - everything else will fade and disappoint.
