Disciples from all over Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea will gather in one of the worlds most beautiful cities, Sydney Australia.

Followers of Christ are constantly shifting gears to meet the demands of family, work, school, relationships and ministry.  Reach 2016 promises to get you reconnected and recharged so we can once again make the decision to reach out across the South Pacific and plant/strengthen churches by 2020.

The event will take place across Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th of September 2016.

If you would like to be part of the group bookings or would generally like help with travel and accommodation, submit your travel detail requests here for every traveling person.  This for DOES NOT register you for the conference but it DOES tell us who is going and how we can coordinate to help get us all there.

Information for those traveling to Sydney

You can either book your own or work in with the group booking.  If you book your own please let us know (using the SUBMIT YOUR TRAVEL DETAILS button) your flight details so that we can try to co-ordinate ground transport for you as well.

For the group booking, please tell us your preferred flight time range (using the button below).  This information will be used to get the best deal possible but you may need to be flexible.

How much does group booking cost?
Flight costs will depend on the numbers flying but at the moment it is approx. $675 adult return (slightly less for kids)

When will I need to pay?
$50 per person deposit will be needed soon and full payment required approx 45 days out from flight.

Is it cheaper to book my own flights?
It may be cheaper for you to book your own flights, but you will need to pay at time of booking.  If you book on a group flight, you will not need to pay for the flight until closer to the time.

What if I want to stay in Aus longer?
There may be the option to stay in Australia longer and return at a later date.  This will be confirmed ASAP.  You will need to arrange your own accommodation from 25th September (we check-out from the YMCA on the morning of the 25th September).

Group Accommodation

Where will we be staying?
We will be staying at  the YMCA Sydney Olympic Centre.  Check out their website for more details. (http://camping.ymcansw.org.au/sopl).  Address is: 1 Jamieson St., Silverwater NSW 2128, Australia.

How much does it cost?
$75AUD ($82NZD) per person per night. This includes breakfast and linen hire (except towels).  Children under 5yrs old stay free.

How can I get there?
Once we have all the flights booked we will arrange, as best as possible, transport from Airport to Accommodation.  There will be a cost associated with this but it is likely to be much less than arranging it yourself.

When can we check in?
YMCA can accommodate guests arriving after 12pm on the day of check in.

When do we need to check out?
We check-out from the YMCA on the morning of the 25th September prior to going to the conference venue.

Do we need to bring sheets or is everything provided?
The cost includes breakfast and linen hire, but not towels.

Conference Venue

Where is the conference?
The main conference venue is Hornsby RSL Club, 4 High Street, Hornsby NSW 2077 (http://www.hornsbyrsl.com.au/)

Are there any malls or places to eat near the conference?
There is a Westfield Shopping Mall close by for lunch/dinner options.

Getting from/to Sydney Airport

What's the best way to get from the airport to the accomodation?
Once we have all the flights booked we will arrange, as best as possible, transport from Airport to Accommodation.  There will be a cost associated with this but it is likely to be much less than arranging it yourself.

How do I get back to the airport after the conference?
For those traveling back to Auckland just after the conference, we will be organising transport (e.g. a bus) from either from the conference venue or from the accomodation.  Details will be confirmed.  There will be a cost associated with this but it is likely to be much less than arranging it yourself.

Do I need to rent a car?
You can rent a car if you like, but as long as you're flying around the same times as many other people, you should be able to get to the conference and back with the group.  If you want to do extra things while you're in Sydney, then you may want to consider renting a car.

What other options are available?
Sydney has an extensive train and bus network.  It may be possible to get from the airport to near the accomodation using public transport, but you may need to take a cab or Uber for the distance from the train station to the accomodation and back.

What if I'm flying in early/late?
Please contact us with your flight details and we can work out what's possible.

What happens if my plane is delayed?
This could happen at any time.  Depending on the delay, we may be able to hold the bus from the Airport to the Accomodation until you arrive.  If the delay is too long, you'll have a contact person who can help you coordinate an alternative.

Getting to/from the Conference

What's the best way to get from the accommodation to the conference and back each day?
We will have buses arranged for a pick-up from the accommodation to the conference and back again on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.  There will be a cost associated with this.  But this should eliminate the need to negotiate public transport or hire cars.

What other options are available?
Sydney has an extensive train and bus network, but the location of the conference venue may not be well serviced from the Accomodation.  We strongly encourage you to use the shuttle provided (cost TBD) if you are not renting a car.

Children

How much is registration for children?
Registration is free for children under 15.

How much is group accomodation for children?
Children under 5yrs old stay free at the YMCA (when staying with an adult).

Will there be Kids Kingdom?
There will be Kids Kingdom classes available during lessons for registered children.  As part of the registration process, you will be able to register your kids for Kids Kingdom as well.

My child has food allergies (e.g. peanuts).  What do I do?
We don't know how this will be handled yet, but if this is a concern, please indicate this when registering for the conference (if there is a box) and also include in the notes of the information form.

*** Please note that the Friday 23rd is a school day in NZ so kids will need to skip a day’s school in order to get to the first night of conference.
