Official Church Facebook Page has new URL

The official church Facebook page has a new and much more friendly address.  From today, you can go to www.facebook.com/auckchurch to see the latest news and posts.

If you're on Facebook yourself, remember you can 'Like' the official page and then get announcements, podcasts and resources directly in your Facebook newsfeed.  The more 'Likes' we get, the more visible the church will be on Facebook.

This is a great resource for people to find out about the church so feel free to send your friends along to this page.

Many members are also part of the Facebook group called 'Auckland Church of Christ' (www.facebook.com/groups/179313832111615/).  This is not an official church Facebook group, but is a closed group for members to share amongst other members.  Recently it's been used as a lost and found, a book club, and general encouragement.  All great stuff.

2013 Church Health Survey

This past Wednesday Oct 25th, members of the church completed an anonymous survey designed to help the leadership team understand the needs of the church.

If you weren't able to attend, click here to read about the survey and submit your thoughts online.

Joining the Unity Proposal

In early September of 2005, during a forum organised by the 2005 International Leadership Conference coordinators in Seattle, a group of nine brothers, were elected by ballot to serve as a Unity Proposal Group.

They left Seattle with a clear charge from commended brothers to present a proposal to our churches that would further cooperation, unity and missions throughout our fellowship.

They worked on the Plan For United Cooperation for about six months and it was eventually presented to churches around the world.

As a congregation in Auckland, we never formally ratified this proposal, not because we disagreed but because we did not at the time see the need to do so.

Recently the Deacons, along with Dave & Megan Bliley, have reviewed this proposal anew and would like to  show our desire for both spiritual unity and effective cooperation with our sister churches around the world by formally ratifying this plan.

Please take some time to review the Plan for United Cooperation document (PDF) and provide your thoughts to the Deacons and/or Dave & Megan.  The full document, FAQs and other supporting information, can be found at www.icocco.org.
